Headshots and Portrait Sessions
A headshot is ten minutes of your day and the photo people see for two years. LinkedIn, your company page, a press release, a proposal: the same image follows you everywhere. A little preparation is what makes it look like you on a good day, instead of you on a rushed one.
What to wear
Wear something you feel like yourself in. Solid colours and simple lines photograph best. Darker tops work well against most backgrounds, and a layer you can add or remove gives us options without changing the whole look. Skip busy patterns, logos, and bright white, which fight the camera for attention. If your brand has colours, bring something in that family.
Hair and Makeup
Come as you are. If you normally wear makeup, wear what you would wear to a meeting. If you do not, do not start for a photo. The goal is that people recognize you when they meet you after seeing the photo. Bring a brush or comb and anything you need for a quick fix between frames.
What to bring
Bring one or two top options, and your glasses if you wear them, even if you usually take them off for photos. For a branding session, bring anything that shows your work: tools, products, a laptop, brand colours. The more of your real work in the frame, the less the photo looks like stock.
On the day
Arrive a few minutes early so we can settle in before we start. We will talk first: what the photos are for, where they will live, what you want them to say. Then we shoot, and I will show you frames as we go so you know what we are getting.
What you get
A set of retouched portraits, sized for LinkedIn, your company page, and press. If you need a specific crop or format, tell me before the session and I will build it in.
